Progress Continues in the Sunshine at Brands
After the success of the last round at Snetterton Jenny Tinmouth and her Two Wheel Racing team made further progress at Brands Hatch at this the 6th round of the British Superbike championship. Jenny completed a personal best lap round the iconic Kent GP circuit, in warm up, and then went on to have good strong finishes in both races.
The team carried out an extensive testing programme this weekend which included trying several different engine settings. Whilst this may not have resulted in the lap times Jenny had hoped for, she still finished Race 1 in 18th place and Race 2 in 17th position. With all the work carried out it did create a better understanding and feeling for the bike which can only lead to further improvements as Jenny continues to adapt her riding style as the season moves on and the team head to their home round at Oulton Park in 3 weeks time.
Rider Jenny Tinmouth said; "I really enjoyed this weekend especially the second race, whilst I would have liked to have had quicker lap times I still managed a pb and we have made massive in roads into our testing programme covering a huge amount of work in relatively a short space of time. We finished both races well with consistent lap times right from the start of the races and we can look forward to a 2 week break now before heading to Oulton Park"
Crew Chief Steve Bradley said; "We had some work to do on the bike after Snetterton engine wise so to be able to get 2 more solid finishes under our belt and also carry out so much testing with engine settings means it was a very productive weekend. Jen is always continuing to adapt her riding style to suit the bike and it is really paying dividends every time she goes out on it now which is great to see. Confidence is high with in the team and we can't wait to get to our home round"
