Two Wheel Racing unlucky at Cadwell
Jenny Tinmouth and her Two Wheel Racing team had a disappointing weekend at Cadwell Park at the 8th round of the British Superbike championship. Unfortunately a crash in warm up, on race day, left them with no time to carry out the necessary repairs to get the bike back on track so they were left with no option but to withdraw from the 2 races.
The weekend started well despite the poor weather conditions and Jenny enjoyed a positive FP1 in the rain which enabled the team to try out wet settings and as the weather improved so did Jenny’s lap times. She posted a personal best time in FP3 and in qualifying Jenny again improved on her best time round the Lincolnshire circuit but in the final few minutes, whilst pushing for yet another fast lap Jenny over ran at Mansfield ending the session in 24th. In morning warm up Jenny continued in the same vein she had all weekend and unfortunately came off at high speed at Coppice and after a weekend that had promised so much it ended in disappointment.
Rider Jenny Tinmouth said; "I was so looking forward to this weekend because the bike feels so good at the moment and I am riding more and more positively and really enjoying it. I am just sorry for the team after all their hard work and for all the fans and supporters who came to see me, but these things happen and we will come back stronger at Donington in 2 weeks time."
Crew Chief Steve Bradley said; "We can still take positives away from this weekend, Jenny had yet another personal best and even despite tipping off is riding so well at the moment she is finding the limits and getting more feel from the bike and we are looking forward to getting our season back on the rails at Donington."
The next round of the championship is at Donington Park on the 6th-8th September, all the races can be seen live on Eurosport 2.
